On November 12, 2024, at the Chalerm Ratchakumari 60th Anniversary Building (Chamchuri 10 Building), Chulalongkorn University, Dr. Issariya Woraphiphat, Director of Siam Business Administration Technological College (SBAC), along with the executives and teachers, participated in the opening ceremony of the China-ASEAN AI-Empower Cross-Border Digital Marketing Competition 2024. The event was organized by the Modern China-Thailand Cross-Border E-commerce Vocational College, Guangxi International Business Vocational College, in collaboration with Guangxi Tus-Innovation Cross-Border E-commerce Co., Ltd. (TusCBEC) and the ASEAN Business Association.
SBAC and SBAC Nonthaburi, which are centers of excellence in digital graphics, information technology, and digital business technologies, sent student representatives from their Digital Excellence Program. Students from disciplines such as Digital Business Technology, Digital Graphics, Marketing, and Accounting participated in the competition, aimed at enhancing skills in cross-border trade and the application of digital technology. They joined leading vocational and higher education institutions such as Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok University, Sripatum University, Assumption University, Siam University, and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, among others.
During the ceremony, Dr. Thitima Rojwatcharapiban, Director of the Bureau of TVET Personnel Competency Development and Chairperson of the event, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the importance of vocational skills. She stated that this project provides an opportunity for students to learn about innovations in digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) through competition, helping to develop their competencies and enhance their professional prospects.
Mr. Song Tienong, President of Guangxi Tus-Innovation Cross-Border E-commerce Co., Ltd., also gave a speech on trade exchanges between Thailand and the People’s Republic of China. He noted Thailand’s growing trade potential and expressed hopes to develop digital business capabilities and create economic cooperation opportunities. He emphasized that this competition serves as a platform to promote entrepreneurs and individuals with digital skills.
Dr. Napak Worachirapanchaya, President of the ASEAN Business Association, spoke about fostering trade relations between Thailand and China, which would drive the growth of culture, economy, and technology. He highlighted how the digital marketing competition would influence business leaders and students, encouraging them to collaborate and advance trade development.
Additionally, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kavin Asavanant, Director of the Techonopreneurship and Innovation Program (CUTIP), delivered a lecture titled AI-Empower to Create a New Marketing Ecosystem to exchange insights with distinguished guests and executives from leading institutions attending the event.
