Throughout the program, students and faculty worked together in an international learning environment that encouraged knowledge sharing, teamwork, leadership development, and global networking while fostering mutual understanding between the two institutions.
One of the program’s highlights was the Global Green Innovation Hackathon, where mixed teams of SBAC and ITE students collaborated to develop innovative solutions for real-world environmental challenges presented by SCG Chemicals Company Limited (SCGC).
Applying Design Thinking and creative problem-solving methodologies, participants proposed practical ideas that support sustainability, the circular economy, and environmental responsibility. Throughout the competition, students strengthened essential future-ready skills, including collaboration, communication, innovation, critical thinking, and project presentation.
As part of the academic program, participants visited Futurium, an interactive learning center showcasing future technologies, innovation, and sustainable development. The visit provided students with valuable insights into emerging technologies, smart solutions, and industrial innovation while inspiring them to explore how technology can create positive environmental and social impact.
Beyond academic learning, participants experienced Thailand’s rich cultural heritage through a variety of hands-on cultural activities designed to promote intercultural understanding and appreciation.Students learned the elegance of Thai classical dance, enjoyed making traditional Bua Loy dessert, experienced the discipline and techniques of Muay Thai, and explored Thai customs, cuisine, and hospitality. These authentic experiences allowed students to gain a deeper appreciation of Thai culture while building meaningful friendships across cultures.
Over two inspiring weeks, students and faculty members shared ideas, exchanged perspectives, and collaborated on projects that extended learning beyond the classroom. Working in multicultural teams helped participants develop global competencies, adaptability, intercultural communication skills, and lifelong international connections. The program embodies SBAC’s educational philosophy of combining academic excellence with industry engagement, innovation, and international collaboration to prepare students for success in an increasingly interconnected world.
SBAC extends its sincere appreciation to the faculty members and students from ITE Singapore, SCG Chemicals Company Limited (SCGC), industry experts, and everyone involved in making the program a remarkable success. As SBAC continues to expand its global partnerships, the college remains committed to creating transformative international learning experiences that empower students to become future-ready innovators, responsible leaders, and global citizens.
